Meet The Team


Edward DeAngelis- President and Founder

Mr. DeAngelis founded HIGHTEC HVAC in 1994 and currently plays an active role in its every day operation and management. He has 34 years of experience in HVAC industry and an additional four in electrical construction. He is a licensed electrical contractor along with a licensed warm air installer. Mr. DeAngelis founded a previous business where he built the design, sales and service operation revenues from $0 up to $5,000,000. In his years there he served on the Carrier Dealer Advisory Council from 1986-1988 and was elected President in 1987. In his volunteer work, he served on the Board of Directors for Benjamin Rush (1980-1988) as a Treasurer and Chairman of Finance Committee, Northwestern Corporation (1984-1986) and the American Cancer Society, Northeast Division Fund Raising Chairman (1978-1980). His education includes attending college at LaSalle College, Montgomery County Community College and the Wharton School of Business. He has received industry training from Carrier, York, Lennox, Weil McClain and many other HVAC related companies. He continues his education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest in technology, codes and standards. Mr. DeAngelis is a past member of DBIA (Pennsylvania Design Build Institute) where he served on the board of directors, ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors), a Certificate Member (CM) of RSES (Refrigeration Service Engineers Society) and a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Refrigeration Air Conditioning Engineers).


Joseph J. Dial- Executive Vice President

Joe has been in the industry since 1985 and has learned the business from the ground up working in the installation, service, purchasing, engineering, project management and sales departments. Joining the company in 1995 he has worked closely with the company president in setting budgets, plans and policies while establishing procedures and priorities. He possesses tremendous experience in a vast array of areas including cost estimating, value engineering, senior project management, labor relations management and cost control. His design build experience combined with his strong customer relations skills constantly prove itself invaluable to our management team. His work experience includes hospitals, office buildings, retrofits, industrial projects, central station plants, computer facilities, restaurants, retail stores, shopping centers, parking garages, schools and places of worship. With mechanical costs ranges for small renovations to single complex aggregate over $20,000,000.

Joe attended Penn State University and in additional has completes numerous accredited continuing education courses from Penn State.   Along with technical development programs from ACCA, Burnham, Carrier, York and Lennox. He is a current member of ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors). His hobbies include classic cars, golf, traveling, sporting events, fitness and the construction of home projects.


Cathy Wurtzbacher – Controller

Cathy has been with HIGHTEC HVAC since 2008, beginning her HIGHTEC career in our Service Department she is now our Controller.  She has 24 years of experience in the accounting field and human resource including 21 years in the HVAC business. She is also a Notary Public for the commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a licensed real estate agent, and continues her learning and education with certified and accredited classes.


Mike Castelli- Director of Construction

Mike has over 32 years of experience in the HVAC industry. He worked in the field for 17 years, and was a Project Manager for 15 years. Mike has an extensive knowledge of duct work, piping, boilers, sheet metal installation, and is EPRO certified to train in forklifts, booms, and scissor lifts. He has also completed LB1 and LB2 rapport training, which works in conjunction with his strong communication skills with those who he works with. When it comes to projects, Mike’s focus is on quality, budget, and completion on schedule. He is HVACR licensed in the state of New Jersey, OSHA 30 certified, and continues his training and education in all facets of the HVAC industry. Finally, Mike holds a high standard of safety, which he displays in HIGHTEC’s monthly newsletter.



Jenny Kloiber- Service Coordinator

Jenny started working for HIGHTEC in 2010, where she has also been managing HIGHTEC’s Service Department as Service Coordinator. With over 25 years in the HVAC industry she brings to us a wide variety of valuable skills and a great understanding of the services we provide. In addition, continuous training and education courses keep her computer and business skills current.


Ken Carlin – Service/Sales Manager

Ken started working in the HVAC business 38 years ago. He was a Vice President for 13  years and a General Manager for 21 years. Ken has been with HIGHTEC for 6 and a half months as the service/sales manager. He is in charge of contract sales, replacement of units, and bidding on jobs for the service department. Outside of HIGHTEC, Ken enjoys sports, travelling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Vince Cipollone – Field Service Manager

Vince has been in the HVAC business for almost 40 years. He is our current Field Service Manager in the Service Department and has been working for the company for over 20 years.


Amar Patel-Project Estimator

Amar started working for HIGHTEC HVAC in November 2016. He is a graduate of Temple University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and has been working in the HVAC/Plumbing industry for over five years. Amar has been volunteering at the BAPS Hindu temple in Levittown for 12 years and enjoys sports and travelling.


Gerard “Jerry” Schuck – Warehouse Manager/Operation Coordinator

Jerry has been a member of the HIGHTEC team for 16 and a half years. He oversees our warehouse, makes sure supplies get to a job site, and handles all maintenance of job equipment, service, and construction vehicles.


Allie Kachapuridze- Administrative Assistant

Allie was hired at the start of this year. She graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Political Science. She is currently in charge of administrative duties, as well as editing the website and writing the monthly company newsletter.
